Meet your bold, ruby-red refresher. Our Certified Organic Hibiscus Flower Tea (Hibiscus sabdariffa), sourced from Burkina Faso, brews to a vibrant, jewel-toned cup with a cranberry-bright tartness. It has a gentle citrus lift and a clean, thirst-quenching finish that's naturally caffeine-free and endlessly refreshing hot or iced.

Selected for its smooth, fruity profile, this single-ingredient herbal makes a stunning spritz, a beautiful iced tea, or a lively palate-cleanser after meals.

With exceptional value—around 50 serves per 100 g—and pure, organic provenance (grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides for a minimum of three years), it’s the statement sip your tea shelf has been missing.

Ingredients: 100%  Organic hibiscus flowers.

Origin: Burkina Faso. A

Add to your cart and let the colour—and the zing—brighten your day.

Hibiscus tea pairs really well with:

  • A little light Australian honey, agave or maple to add some Natural sweetness (to balance the tang)

  • A spoon of raw sugar syrup for iced spritzers

  • Orange or lime wheels, lemon zest, finger lime pearls

  • Fresh berries, watermelon, pineapple or pear slices

Hibiscus tea is also well suited for blending with:

  • Hibiscus + Lemongrass & Ginger (1 : 1) — zesty, spa-bright refresher

  • Hibiscus + Peppermint (3 : 1) — crisp, cooling finish

  • Hibiscus + Rooibos (1 : 2) — rounder, honeyed balance to the tang

Benefits

Not only is Hibiscus Flower tea delicious, it may also help with:

Heart Health

Hibiscus tea has been shown to help lower blood pressure, particularly in those with mild to moderate hypertension. It can also help reduce cholesterol levels, which supports overall heart health.

Rich in Antioxidants

Hibiscus flowers are loaded with antioxidants, including vitamin C, that help fight free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and may slow down signs of aging and chronic diseases.

Boosts Immunity

The high vitamin C content in hibiscus tea strengthens the immune system, making it a great choice to ward off colds and infections.

Supports Liver Health

Some studies suggest that hibiscus tea may help protect the liver by reducing liver damage caused by toxins and promoting overall liver function

Helps with Weight Management

Hibiscus tea has been linked to weight loss by helping to regulate metabolism and reduce the absorption of starch and glucose. It may also help reduce fat storage in the body.

Aids Digestion

Hibiscus tea has mild diuretic properties that support kidney and urinary health. It also helps with digestive issues like bloating, constipation, and indigestion.

Regulates Blood Sugar Levels

Some research suggests that hibiscus tea can help lower blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity, making it beneficial for those with type 2 diabetes or at risk of developing it

Reduces Inflammation

The anti-inflammatory compounds in hibiscus help reduce overall inflammation in the body, which may aid in conditions like arthritis or other inflammatory disorders.

Promotes Healthy Skin

Hibiscus is often referred to as the "Botox plant" because of its natural ability to boost skin elasticity and reduce wrinkles. The antioxidants in hibiscus can help protect the skin from damage and premature aging.

Improves Mood and Reduces Anxiety

Some studies suggest that hibiscus may have mild calming effects, helping to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation, making it a great option for stress relief.

It’s important to note that while Hibiscus Flower tea is generally safe for most people, it may not be suitable for those with acid reflux or GERD, as it can relax the lower esophageal sphincter and potentially exacerbate symptoms. As always, if you're unsure, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider.

Instructions

1. Boil fresh water

Start by boiling fresh, filtered water. Fresh water ensures the best flavor and allows the hibiscus flowers to fully infuse their tangy, citrus-like taste.

2. Measure the tea

Use about 1 teaspoon of dried hibiscus flowers for every 8 oz (240 ml) of water.

3. Steep the tea

Once the water reaches a rolling boil, pour it over the hibiscus flowers in your cup or teapot. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger and more vibrant the flavour, so adjust based on your taste preferences.

4. Optional Add-ins

Honey or stevia can balance out the tartness with a touch of sweetness.
A squeeze of lemon or a few slices of ginger add a refreshing kick and boost the health benefits.
Mint or cinnamon can enhance the flavour profile, giving it a unique twist.

5. Enjoy!

Once your hibiscus tea has steeped to your liking, remove the tea bag or strain the flowers. You can enjoy it hot or let it cool and serve it iced for a refreshing, cooling drink.
