Description

Sourced from Egypt, our Organic Peppermint Tea is crafted from carefully dried peppermint leaves (Mentha piperita), selected for their vibrant aroma and clean, refreshing character. Cut to 2–5 mm leaf pieces, this naturally caffeine-free herbal tea brews to a bright golden-green infusion with an unmistakably fresh mint fragrance.

Each cup delivers crisp, cooling mint notes that feel clean and uplifting on the palate, followed by a smooth, lingering finish. The flavour is bright and aromatic without being overpowering, offering a beautifully balanced expression of pure peppermint leaf. Thoughtfully processed to preserve its natural oils, this tea showcases the clarity and freshness that peppermint is loved for.

Versatile and easy to enjoy, peppermint tea suits any time of day. Sip it hot for a warming, aromatic cup or brew and chill it for a refreshing iced infusion. Its clean flavour profile makes it a popular choice after meals, during warm afternoons or whenever you’re drawn to something light, fresh and uncomplicated.

Offering excellent value at approximately 50 cups per 100 g, this is a tea you’ll reach for often. Enjoy it on its own, or pair it with a slice of citrus or a touch of honey to gently soften the mint while keeping its vibrant character intact.

Available in 50 g and 100 g pouches, this classic herbal tea brings freshness, simplicity and everyday ease to your tea ritual.

It’s important to note that while peppermint tea is generally safe for most people, it may not be suitable for those with acid reflux or GERD, as it can relax the lower esophageal sphincter and potentially exacerbate symptoms. As always, if you're unsure, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider.

Instructions

1. Boil fresh water

Start by boiling fresh, filtered water. Fresh water is ideal because it contains more oxygen, which helps bring out the full flavor of the peppermint.

2. Measure the tea

Use about 1 tablespoon of peppermint leaves for every 240 ml (8 oz) of water.

3. Steep the tea

Once the water is boiling, pour it over the peppermint tea leaves in your cup or teapot. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes for a strong, full flavor. If you prefer a milder taste, steep it for 3-5 minutes.

4. Optional Add-ins

Honey or stevia can be added for a touch of sweetness if you prefer it. Alternatively, a squeeze of lemon or a small slice can enhance the flavour and add a refreshing twist.  For extra soothing effects, you can add a little ginger or chamomile to complement the peppermint.

5. Enjoy!

Once steeped to your liking, strain out the leaves. Sip and enjoy the refreshing, calming taste of your peppermint tea!  If you're making a larger batch, just scale up the measurements and steeping time accordingly.
