Description
Our Organic Green Tea (Sencha) is a Japanese-style steamed green tea grown in Zhejiang Province, China, where cool mountain conditions and careful cultivation produce a clean, expressive cup. Harvested from young spring growth during May–June, the slender, needle-like leaves are gently steamed and dried to preserve their fresh character.
Once brewed, the leaves unfurl into a pale emerald infusion with soft grassy aromatics, a subtle oceanic note and a light citrus lift. The flavour is smooth and silky with minimal bitterness, offering clarity and balance rather than intensity. A gentle umami presence carries through the cup, finishing clean and refreshing on the palate.
Approachable and versatile, this sencha is well suited to everyday drinking. It can be enjoyed on its own for a pure expression of green tea, or lightly re-infused to reveal a softer, naturally sweet second cup. Its clean profile also makes it a popular choice for cold brewing or blending with other herbs for creative tea moments.
Offering excellent value at approximately 50 cups per 100 g, this is a green tea you’ll return to often. Available in 50 g and 100 g pouches, with bulk options available on request, it brings freshness, simplicity and craftsmanship to your daily tea ritual.

Instructions
1. Boil fresh, filtered waterStart with fresh, filtered water. Avoid using water that's been sitting around for too long, as it may affect the tea's flavor. |
2. Heat the Water to the Right TemperatureSencha is sensitive to high temperatures. Heat the water to 80°C, just below boiling. Too hot, and the tea will become bitter; too cool, and it won’t extract its full flavor. |
3. Measure the teaUse about 1 tablespoon of Green Tea per 8 oz (240 ml) of water. |
3. Steep the teaPour the hot water over the tea leaves and let it steep for 5 minutes. Sencha is best when steeped for a short time to prevent bitterness. You can experiment with steeping times to find your ideal balance of flavor. |
4. Optional Add-insSencha is delicious on its own, but if you prefer, you can add: Lemon: A slice of lemon can enhance the freshness. |
5. Enjoy!Once your tea has steeped, strain the leaves (if using loose leaf) and enjoy the delicate, grassy flavor of your Sencha Green Tea. For an iced version, let the tea cool and pour it over ice for a refreshing, chilled drink. |
