Grown in the fertile lowlands of Assam, India, our Organic Assam Tea is crafted from premium, extra-tippy black tea leaves harvested during the peak June–July season. Graded TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe), these dark, twisted leaves with golden tips produce a deep amber-burgundy infusion known for its richness and clarity.

The cup opens with pronounced malty character and natural sweetness, followed by smooth, rounded notes reminiscent of molasses and warm sugar. Medium-bodied yet silky on the palate, the finish is full and satisfying without heaviness. The 5–10 mm tippy leaf cut allows for a robust brew that remains balanced and refined.

This classic Indian black tea is wonderfully versatile. Enjoy it black to appreciate its depth and malt, or add milk to soften and round the cup while preserving its bold profile. Instructions

1. Boil Fresh, Filtered Water

Start with fresh, filtered water for the best taste. Bring the water to a rolling boil (around 212°F/100°C).

2. Measure the Tea

Use 2 teaspoons of Assam Tea TGFBOP per 8 oz (240 ml) of water.

3. Steep the Tea

Pour the hot water over the tea leaves and allow it to steep for 5 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger and more robust the flavor will be. Adjust the steeping time based on your preference for strength.

4. Optional Add-ins

Add milk and sugar to taste, especially if you prefer a creamy, sweet cup of Assam tea.
Honey or lemon can also complement the robust flavor for a unique twist.

5. Strain & Enjoy

Once the tea has steeped to your liking, strain the leaves. Now, enjoy your perfect cup of Assam Tea, full-bodied, and invigorating.

For an iced version, let the tea cool to room temperature, then pour over ice for a refreshing, chilled treat.
